Emergency underwater response

Emergency underwater work is needed when time is counted in hours: a hole or damage in a vessel's hull, a ruptured pipeline or cable, a jammed propeller, damage to a floating pier. PKF Bolid responds to such a call quickly, any day and through the polar night. The team goes into the water in Kirby Morgan helmets and band masks, hot-water suits and on umbilicals, so a dive is possible even in the ice water of the Barents and White Seas.

On site the divers survey the object, locate and contain the damage, and then do whatever removes the threat: underwater welding and cutting, sealing a hole, clearing a propeller, jetting. We use NEMO cordless tools, hydraulic tools with the HYCON power pack and welding and cutting equipment; hard-to-reach areas are inspected with the RB-550 ROV.

We attend vessels, quays, water intakes and port facilities in the Port of Murmansk, Kola Bay, the Barents and White Seas, at depths to 60 metres. The client ends up with the damage contained and a report on the condition of the object. We have worked since 1992, hold a Register Certificate of Recognition and have experience on the Prirazlomnaya platform; neighbouring regions by arrangement.
