Underwater welding in Murmansk
We weld up cracks, weeping seams and holes in vessel hulls, pipelines and steel structures in place underwater — without lifting the object or taking the vessel into dock.

Underwater welding is called for when a defect in steel has to be dealt with in place — without raising the object to the surface and without the expense of docking the vessel. This is how cracks, weeping seams and holes in hulls are closed and how quay walls and the steelwork of marine structures are restored. The client avoids docking and a long lay-up: the repair happens on site, with no tow to the yard.
The welds are laid by professionally trained diver-welders. We use semi-automatic underwater welding; before the run, the edge is prepared with a hydraulic angle grinder. The dives are supported by underwater welding and cutting equipment, hot-water suits for cold water, high-pressure compressors and a decompression chamber.
We carry out welding in the Port of Murmansk, Kola Bay, the Barents and White Seas at depths to 60 metres; mobilisation to other regions is agreed separately. We have welded on the Prirazlomnaya offshore platform. We work all year round, including through the polar night, and mobilise quickly for emergency hole patching. The client gets a sound weld and a repaired structure without taking it out of service.
