Salvage of sunken vessels, boats and plant

Salvage is the recovery of sunken vessels, boats, craft and plant from the bottom by divers. PKF Bolid starts with an underwater survey of the object: we establish how it lies on the bottom, the condition of the hull, the degree of siltation and the suction holding it to the seabed. On that basis we calculate the lifting forces and choose a method that is safe for the object and for the surrounding waters.

The lift is carried out by divers using the moon pool, umbilicals and hot-water suits — which makes work possible in the cold water of the Barents and White Seas all year round, including through the polar night. Where required we bring in hydraulic tools and the HYCON power pack, jetting to free a silted hull, underwater cutting to section structures, and staged rigging of the object.

We work in the Port of Murmansk, along the coast of the Kola Peninsula and across the region; other regions by arrangement. We mobilise quickly for emergencies. Every stage is documented with photo and video.
